What Is Amboras? Building an Online Store with AI, Is It Free, Pricing Plans, How It Differs from Shopify and Fees

Amboras is a platform that brings every part of an online store together in one place: store pages, product and order management, hosting, domain, checkout flow and email. What sets it apart is that you build all of this with an AI assistant: you describe what you sell in one sentence, and the platform prepares the brand name, three sample products, images and promotions and gives you a live address. Then you change the pages through chat.

Who it's for: small business owners who want to sell their products online; people who want to open a store without coding or move a store from a platform like Shopify. The terms don't allow personal or household use; business use only.

!It's not Claude, Claude Commerce or an Anthropic product. Amboras, Inc. is a separate company. Its privacy notice lists Anthropic and OpenAI as subprocessors for AI. The official pages don't mention a “Claude Commerce” name or an Anthropic partnership. The company's claims such as “Y Combinator Spring 2026” and “+80% conversion” are statements on its own site, with no independent verification.

Amboras runs in the browser; there's no program to download. The steps on the sign-up screen aren't clear in the official documentation; below is the flow described in the official FAQ.

1. 1Sign up. “Get started” on amboras.com. The terms require a valid email; supported third-party sign-in is also available. You must be over 18 and open the store for business.
2. 2Describe what you sell in one sentence. According to the FAQ, the platform sets the brand name, generates three products with photos and copy, sets up promotions and gives you a live address, “usually within two minutes.”
3. 3Edit the store through chat. Design, pages and products change through chat; manual editing in the admin dashboard is also available.
4. 4Connect your own domain. Settings› then Domains: enter a domain you own or buy a new one there. It handles SSL and DNS setup itself.
5. 5Connect your payment provider. Payments are collected by a provider such as Stripe or PayPal; the money goes to your bank account. The terms state that these provider accounts are yours and that setting them up is your responsibility. The FAQ, however, says “you don't set up Stripe yourself”; this conflict is covered below.

Before making a big decision, check on the sign-up page whether a card is required and whether you have to choose a plan. The FAQ mentions a free tier, while the changelog says new stores skip the trial and choose a plan.

Amboras's AI is a chat you call up from inside the page. In the admin dashboard, every page has a small chat that knows that page: in Orders it can process refunds, in Products it can generate copy and images, in Analytics it can explain why conversion dropped. The official FAQ says that by default the AI proposes changes and waits for your approval.

!The AI can also generate prices, discounts and promotions. The terms say that you, not Amboras, are responsible for orders placed at a wrong price. Before giving the AI broad permissions, turn on any safeguards such as a price floor, if available.

The pricing page shows four paid plans. Opened from Turkey, the page shows prices in TRY; a note below says “billing is in dollars,” so the TRY figures are a currency conversion. The dollar prices are below. Annual billing gets a 20% discount.
