What Is Trendyol Seller MCP? Connecting Your Store to an AI Assistant, Setup, Write Risks and Requirements
You ask your assistant about your orders, products, customer questions or returns; Trendyol Seller MCP uses your Trendyol API credentials to connect to the seller API of Trendyol Marketplace (a major Turkish online marketplace) and brings back the answer. The code has 6 tools: 4 read and 2 write (a public answer to a customer question, bulk stock and price updates); the write tools are off by default. It is an MIT-licensed community project by a developer named Koray Nar, not a Trendyol product. You need a Trendyol seller account, your Seller ID, API Key and API Secret, Python 3.11+ and uv.

What does Trendyol Seller MCP do?
MCP is the standard that lets AI programs connect to outside tools. This server opens Trendyol's seller API to your assistant: you ask "which of my orders haven't shipped yet" or "which customer questions are waiting for an answer", and the assistant brings back orders, product stock and prices, customer questions and return requests. By default it only reads and changes nothing in your store.
The 4 reading tools are always on; the 2 writing tools (answering questions, stock and price) are off by default and turned on with an environment variable.
The six tools split like this in the code and the README: read: get_products, get_orders, get_customer_questions, get_claims. write: answer_question (a public answer to a customer question) and update_price_and_stock (stock and price by barcode, at most 1000 items per call). There is no delete tool, and no endpoints for creating products, shipping labels or invoices.
Who it's for: businesses selling on Trendyol that want to speed up order and question tracking with an assistant. It is not a Trendyol product; the author himself says it is "a working tool, but tested with mock responses", so know the risks before using it on your store.
How do you install Trendyol Seller MCP?
Requirements: a Trendyol seller account and your Seller ID, API Key, API Secret (Seller Panel › Account Information › Integration Information; according to Trendyol's documentation, these are visible only when signed in as the master user, i.e. with the admin role), Python 3.11 or later, and the uv tool. There is no ready-made package: there is no listing on PyPI or npm, so you download the repository to your computer and install it.
› git clone https://github.com/koraynar/trendyol-seller-mcp
cd trendyol-seller-mcp
uv venv && uv pip install -e '.[dev]'The command from the README (replace the path and key values with your own):
› claude mcp add trendyol-seller \
--env TRENDYOL_SELLER_ID=123456 \
--env TRENDYOL_API_KEY=your-key \
--env TRENDYOL_API_SECRET=your-secret \
-- uv run --directory /absolute/path/to/trendyol-seller-mcp trendyol-seller-mcpAdd this entry to the claude_desktop_config.json file (README example):
› { "mcpServers": { "trendyol-seller": { "command": "uv", "args": ["run", "--directory", "/absolute/path/to/trendyol-seller-mcp", "trendyol-seller-mcp"], "env": { "TRENDYOL_SELLER_ID": "123456", "TRENDYOL_API_KEY": "your-key", "TRENDYOL_API_SECRET": "your-secret" } } } }!The key and secret sit in plain text in the configuration file. Trendyol's documentation specifically asks that API credentials not be shared on public platforms such as GitHub: don't share the file, don't add it to a repository, and be careful with backups.

How do you use Trendyol Seller MCP?
Start with writing off and try only reading tasks.
!Customer questions are text coming from outside. With writing on, if the assistant reads a question as an instruction it may do the wrong thing, and the answer is published publicly. This is an inference; the README does not say so: turn writing on only for tasks where you read and approve the answer yourself, and keep tool approval on in your client.
According to Trendyol's documentation, an answer must be 10–2000 characters, a question can be answered only once, and answers go through a banned-word check.
Which programs does Trendyol Seller MCP work with?
| Claude CodeYes | The README gives the claude mcp add command. |
|---|---|
| Claude DesktopYes | The README gives an example configuration file. |
| Other MCP clientsUnclear | The README's opening sentence says "any other MCP client" but gives no setup example; "not in the documentation" does not mean "doesn't work". |
It runs locally: the server runs on your computer and connects only to the Trendyol API (apigw.trendyol.com).
What does Trendyol Seller MCP read and change in your store?
Products (barcode, title, stock, price), order packages (number, status, amount, line items, customer city), customer questions and return requests. In orders, the customer's name and full address are hidden by default and shown with include_pii=true. Question and return outputs contain no customer name.
Publishes public answers to customer questions and updates stock and price by barcode (at most 1000 items). Both work only with TRENDYOL_ALLOW_WRITES=true. According to Trendyol's documentation, the same stock-price request cannot be repeated within 15 minutes.
There is no delete tool. There are also no endpoints for creating products, shipping labels, invoices or webhooks (README limitations).
The order, question and return data the assistant sees goes to the servers of the AI service you use; that service's privacy terms apply.
!The write flag is only a safeguard on the tool's side; your Trendyol key pair itself has unrestricted write access. Trendyol's official pages describe no read-only or restricted keys. If you want to try it out, Trendyol has a test (stage) environment and the README explains how to point to it with TRENDYOL_BASE_URL; however, according to Trendyol's documentation, the test environment requires a separate account and API credentials, IP authorization and notifying Trendyol. There are no entries in GitHub Security Advisories or OSV; that does not mean "safe".
Maintenance status (October 15, 2026, GitHub): 2 commits, 0 stars, 0 open issues, first release v0.1.0 (August 28, 2026). The author says "the Trendyol API may change at any time" and "it was tested only with mock responses".
Is Trendyol Seller MCP free?
The software is MIT-licensed and free. It needs a Trendyol seller account to work; Trendyol's official pages state no separate fee for API access. The AI service you use has its own separate cost.
- MIT: free to use and modify the code
- Trendyol's API terms of use apply separately; no page by that name appears on the developer pages
- Trendyol's official pages show no provision on using third-party AI tools

Common problems and fixes
| What happens | What to do |
|---|---|
| A write tool says "refused" | Expected behavior: without TRENDYOL_ALLOW_WRITES=true, both write tools refuse. If you want to turn them on, add it to the env block and restart the server. |
| 429 error | Trendyol allows at most 50 requests per 10 seconds to the same endpoint. The tool has no retry; wait and try again. |
| 401 ClientApiAuthenticationException | According to Trendyol, authentication failed: check your Seller ID, API Key and Secret in the panel. Live and test environment credentials are different. |
| The same stock or price request returns an error | Trendyol: if you resend the same request without changes, it returns an error for 15 minutes; send only what has changed. |
How do you remove Trendyol Seller MCP?
- Delete the connection: in Claude Code,
claude mcp remove trendyol-seller; in Claude Desktop, delete thetrendyol-sellerentry from the configuration file and restart. - Clean up the key: if you wrote your API credentials into the configuration file, delete them; they may remain in backups or synced folders.

Frequently asked questions
Is this Trendyol's official MCP?
No. The README says "unofficial" and "Not affiliated with Trendyol"; it is a project by an individual developer named Koray Nar. Being listed in the official MCP registry does not mean the project belongs to Trendyol.
Can the assistant change prices or stock in my store?
Only if you set TRENDYOL_ALLOW_WRITES=true. It is off by default. When on, 1000 items can be updated in a single call and it affects live sales; keep tool approval on in your client.
Does customer information go to the assistant?
In the order call, the customer's name and address are hidden by default and only the city comes through; include_pii=true turns them on. The incoming data goes to the servers of the AI service you use.
Is there a test environment to try it first?
Trendyol has a stage environment and the README explains how to point to it. But the test environment requires a separate account and API credentials and IP authorization, and it has to be requested from Trendyol. Read-only keys are not described on the official pages.
Has it been tried with a live Trendyol account?
The README says it was tested only with mock responses.
