What Is Ultimate Web Scraper? Connecting It to Claude, Plans and Credits, Legal Limits

You connect Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Cursor to Ultimate Web Scraper's cloud workspace, then say in chat "pull this store's products into a table." It is a Chrome extension and cloud platform that extracts data from websites without code; the extension installs for free and runs locally, while the AI connection and the cloud require a paid plan. Scraping in the cloud uses credits (roughly 1 credit per page). The official terms leave responsibility for complying with each site's terms of use to you.

What does Ultimate Web Scraper do?

The product has two parts: a Chrome extension that runs on your own computer and a cloud platform that is separate from the extension. The MCP connection links to the cloud workspace; your AI assistant starts scrapes in that workspace, queries the table, cleans it and exports it. MCP is the standard that lets AI programs connect to outside tools.

Complying with each site's terms of use is your responsibility.

Use cases on the official pages: pulling product, listing or article pages from the same site into one table; grabbing the catalog of a Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud store; collecting emails and social profiles from a list of sites; scheduling a saved scrape and sending the result to Google Sheets. Instead of scraping URL by URL, you say "pull this from that site."

Who it's for: agency and e-commerce teams that regularly compile pricing, catalog or contact data. The legal responsibility for collecting this data is yours; see the "What does it access?" section below.

How do you connect Ultimate Web Scraper?

First you need a paid plan and a cloud workspace; the official page states that AI connections require a cloud workspace on a paid plan. The server URL is https://mcp.ultimatewebscraper.com/mcp; it does not open in a browser and is only entered in the app's settings.

  1. In Claude (web or desktop), open Settings then Connectors then Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the connector URL: https://mcp.ultimatewebscraper.com/mcp.
  3. Sign in in the window that opens (create an account there if you don't have one), choose the workspace Claude will access and the access level, then click Allow.

Once connected, send the question the official page suggests as your first message: "What can you do now that Ultimate Web Scraper is connected? List my tables and automations."

How do you use Ultimate Web Scraper?

You ask in plain language in the chat. Before starting a new scrape, the assistant gives a credit estimate and waits for your approval.

Pull pages into a table"Pull the product name, price and stock status from the product pages at these three URLs into a new table in my workspace. Tell me the credit estimate before you start."
Clean the table"Remove duplicate rows from my latest table, convert the price column to numbers and list the 10 most expensive products."
Check your allowance"How many credits do I have left in my connected workspace? Which tables and automations do I have?"

Start with read-only access: that connection can never spend credits. Upgrade to full access when you move on to work that needs to start scrapes.

Which apps does Ultimate Web Scraper work with?

Claude (web and desktop)YesSettings then Connectors then Add custom connector.
Claude CodeYesOne command plus sign-in; no token needed.
ChatGPTYesWeb only; requires Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu and Developer mode.
Cursor and other MCP appsYesWith an access token created in the dashboard.
Gemini, CopilotUnclearNot named on the official pages; that does not mean they don't work.

The official README says AI connections are "rolling out gradually," while /docs/ai says they are live.

What does Ultimate Web Scraper access, and what data leaves?

What it accesses

Only the cloud workspace you choose. The official page states it cannot access your computer, your files, your open tabs, your browsing history or data you scraped locally in the extension.

Read-only or full access

There are two access levels. A read-only connection cannot write or spend credits. Full access starts scrapes, deletes table columns and rows, runs, stops and deletes automations, and sends tables to Google Sheets.

Deleting

Row deletion first shows the number of matching rows, then deletes them permanently after your approval. Deleting columns and automations is available only with full access.

Where the data lives

According to the privacy policy, account and scraped data are stored mainly in the US, and scraping jobs are processed on servers in Germany. Small excerpts taken from pages may be processed by third-party AI providers for AI-powered features. Data is not sold.

The official terms of service prohibit using it in ways that violate websites' terms of use or the law, and leave responsibility for compliance to you; LinkedIn is not accepted as a target in any tool. The official page has no separate statement on following robots.txt or on collecting personal data under KVKK (Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law). Get legal advice before collecting emails and profiles. This is not legal advice.

The product is closed source; the GitHub repository is a showcase repository and contains no license file. No meaningful security advisories are listed for it; this does not mean it is "safe."

Is Ultimate Web Scraper free? Plans and credits

The Chrome extension installs for free and extracts on your own computer with no page or row limit; a few powerful features such as export are Pro. The AI (MCP) connection and the cloud are on paid plans. Plans are billed yearly; there is no monthly option. Prices are in US dollars.

Pro$60 /year
  • All Pro features of the extension
  • Cloud access
  • 10,000 cloud credits per year
  • Shared workspace
Pro+$99 /year
  • Everything in Pro
  • 100,000 cloud credits per year
  • Shared workspace
Team$249 /year
  • Everything in Pro
  • 200,000 cloud credits per year
  • 6 seats, shared workspace

In the cloud, 1 credit is roughly 1 page scraped. Reading, querying, cleaning and exporting use no credits. According to the official page, scrapes started by the AI agent show a credit estimate first; two exceptions are charged without asking: mapping a site's URLs (a flat 25 credits) and re-running an automation you set up. The balance never goes negative.

What happens to credits at renewal is unclear: the pricing page says credits are granted upfront for the year and do not roll over, while the terms of service say they reset at the start of each billing cycle. The two texts conflict; ask support before you buy.

Source: pricing page, connection docs and terms of service. Refund terms are in the terms of service (7 days for the extension, 7 days for unused cloud credits). This is not legal advice.
