Can I Do It Myself?

Making a short product promo video with AI

You'll find it hardDoable, but it takes setup, integrations or trial and error.

Generate a few seconds of video from a product image or text. The result you want rarely comes on the first try; it takes credits and several attempts.

Estimated time: About 1–2 hours (with retries) (for a first-timer, an estimate)

Steps

  1. 1

    Describe the scene

Write the camera movement, lighting and what the product does as a single scene.

  2. 2

    Start from an image

Generating video from a real product photo gives more consistent results than generating from text.

  3. 3

    Make several attempts

Budget for the credits you'll spend; pick the best attempt.

  4. 4

    Compare with the real product

Don't use it if the product's shape or color changed in the video.

  5. 5

    Label it

If you use it in an ad, disclose clearly that it was made with AI and check your commercial usage rights.

Risks and things to watch

Kling's and PixVerse's free plans either don't allow commercial use or don't let you remove the watermark. If AI is used in an ad in a way that materially affects consumers' decisions, or the ad features a digital character indistinguishable from a human, this must be disclosed clearly (in Turkey: Commercial Advertising Regulation, Art. 18/8).
