What is QuillBot for? How do I use it?
You paste a text into QuillBot, and it rewrites it in different words while keeping the meaning (Paraphraser). The same site also has a grammar checker, summarizer, translator, citation generator, AI text detector, Humanizer and plagiarism checker. Most tools can be tried without an account.
- Open quillbot.com/paraphrasing-tool, paste your text and choose the language (Turkish included) from the language menu.
- Choose a mode: Standard and Fluency are free, the others are Premium. Adjust how much changes with the Synonym Slider.
- Click Paraphrase; copy the result or download it as DOCX.
!If you rewrite someone else's text, giving credit is your responsibility. QuillBot does not guarantee that rewritten text won't count as plagiarism; the citation generator is free.
Who it helps: students, writers, employees who write emails and reports; anyone who wants grammar support when writing in English.
How do I download QuillBot and create an account?
Open quillbot.com. For an account, use the profile icon at the top right and choose Google, Facebook, Apple, or email and password. Age: the Learneo Terms say “at least 13 or the age of consent in your country”; no separate age is given for Turkey. Phone verification is not mentioned in the official documentation.
Add the “QuillBot: AI Writing and Grammar Checker” extension from the Chrome Web Store. In Edge, first turn on “Allow extensions from other stores” in edge://extensions, or install it from Edge Add-ons. Extension writing languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch; no Turkish.
Word: Home › Add-ins › Get Add-ins › “Quillbot” › Add, then Launch Quillbot. There are also macOS and Windows apps; the Windows app supports English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese. No system requirements are listed.
iPhone: “Quillbot: Gen AI Writing Tool” on the App Store (iOS 16+, free; store listing in English only). Android: com.quillbot.mobile on Google Play. Enable the keyboard in settings.
QuillBot AI detector, Humanizer and plagiarism checker
The free version allows 1,200 words per scan and 6 scans a day. QuillBot says the score is “a signal, not a verdict” and that academic or business decisions should not rest on the score alone. Human writing can be flagged by mistake.

Premium is $19.95 for 3 months and $39.95 for 6 months. The page also shows different prices to different visitors (monthly $10.95 or $11.95, yearly $54.95 or $59.50). On the web you are charged in dollars; a card in another currency may incur exchange-rate or transaction fees from your bank. No tax note is given.
There is a team plan (2–10, 11–50, 51+ seats); its price is not shown on the page. There is no student pricing.

Is my text stored or used for training?
Inputs can be used to provide the service, for improvement (training) and for personalization. The Learneo privacy policy says collected data may be used to train AI models. Team Plan inputs are not used for training.
In the extension (4.37.0 and later), storing text inputs is on by default for everyone; to turn it off: extension settings › View All Settings then Data and Privacy. Signed-in users can also turn off the “use for training” setting separately.
There is no direct account deletion on the web; there is an official personal data deletion form. Access is restricted right after the request, and a deleted account cannot be restored.
The company is US-based Learneo, Inc.; the official sources contain no separate provision for Turkey or KVKK (Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law). Read the privacy policy before entering text that contains personal data.
Commercial use: the general Learneo terms grant a license for personal, non-commercial use and say “some subscription tiers may allow limited commercial use, as stated in the Service Terms”. Commercial permission for Premium is on the QuillBot-specific Service Terms page; check it there.

How do I cancel QuillBot Premium? Are there refunds?

Auto-renewal turns off, and Premium continues until the end of the period. You can pause a web subscription for 30, 60 or 90 days (app store and Team plans can't be paused). Refunds are given only where the law requires; in the EEA and the UK there is a 14-day withdrawal right, and nothing is stated for Turkey. If you bought through an app store, request the refund from Apple or Google.
