What Is Activepieces? No-Code Automation, Free Plan, Pricing, Docker Setup, MCP and License

In Activepieces you build an automation flow that connects apps by choosing a trigger and steps; every time the flow is triggered, it does the work on its own. It's a no-code, open-source (MIT core) platform; the documentation counts 760+ apps. There's a free plan on Cloud: 1,000 credits per month, 5 users, unlimited flows (a flow run is 1 credit, an AI step 2/10/20 credits). You install it on your own server with Docker Compose. You can expose flows to AI agents with MCP. The interface isn't available in Turkish.

What Is Activepieces Used For? Can I Use It Without Code?

In Activepieces you build a flow by choosing a trigger (for example, a new form submission) and the steps that follow (send an email, write to a spreadsheet, have AI summarize); you don't need to write code. The documentation counts 760+ apps (the README still says 280+) and MCP support: you can expose your flows as tools to agents like Claude.

Who it's for: small businesses and developers who want to run Zapier-style automation on their own server or at low cost. It's mostly used without code; for advanced flows, a code step is possible.

How Do You Install Activepieces with Docker?

  1. Install Docker and Docker Compose.
  2. The recommended install script: curl -fsSL https://get.activepieces.com | sh
  3. The script starts the server with Docker Compose; create the first user from your browser.

Some guides give a single docker run line. According to the official documentation, that's only a hobby setup: it uses an embedded database, doesn't scale, can't be migrated to Enterprise, and leaving it means starting over. For a permanent installation, choose Docker Compose.

Security: on August 9, 2026, a critical vulnerability (GHSA-m992-8rcw-vmrx; an unauthenticated queue dashboard) was reported; affected versions are 0.80.0 to 0.84.0, and the patch is 0.84.1. The latest version is 0.92.3 (October 12, 2026); use the current version on your own server.

Credit rules: a flow run is 1 credit, an AI step 2, 10 or 20 credits; overage is $0.007 per credit. Ultimate has custom pricing, and Embed starts at $36K a year. MCP tools are free; only ap_run_action uses 1 credit per call. Prices are in US dollars; there's no Turkish lira pricing; it says “2 months free with annual billing,” but the figure isn't on the static page. The pricing page describes Free's credits as “daily” in the table but “1,000 every month” in the FAQ: they contradict each other.
