What Is Crisp Used For?
In Crisp, you add a chat box and a contact form to your site; your visitors' messages land in a shared inbox on the web, in the mobile app and in the desktop app. On higher plans, email, WhatsApp Business, Instagram DMs and SMS connect to the same inbox. The AI agent Hugo can answer customer questions automatically from your help content.
Who it's for: websites, e-commerce stores and service businesses; small teams that want to reply to customer messages from one place.

The yearly discount rate isn't stated on the official page.
Included credits reset every billing cycle and don't roll over. A full Hugo conversation averages $0.05-0.10. When credits run out, Hugo stops replying by default and conversations are handed to a human; with Pay-As-You-Go it keeps going. Workflows don't use Hugo credits.
!Crisp's AI page says “all plans include reasonable AI usage”; the help center, however, says the Free plan includes no Hugo credits. This page goes by the help center table. Where Is My Customer Data, and Is It Used for AI Training?
The privacy policy and terms say Crisp's models aren't trained on customer data unless there's a written agreement. Hugo may use an external language model provider when generating replies; only the necessary context is sent.
Hugo uses the context of the current conversation; it isn't trained on all past conversations in your inbox. You add the content you want it to learn as Q&A or a knowledge base. The AI page's description of past conversations as a training source conflicts with the help article.
Messaging data is in the Netherlands, plugin data in Germany. Crisp is the data processor; you, as the site operator, are the data controller. There's no statement specific to KVKK (Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law); get legal advice on transfers abroad.
The workspace owner can delete and export the workspace; deleted data can't be recovered. Account: Settings then Account then Account Information then Delete your account.
How Do You Cancel a Crisp Subscription, and Are There Refunds?
Canceling a paid subscription means downgrading the workspace to the Free plan (Plans page). Yearly plans are charged up front; the Terms say fees, whether yearly or monthly, aren't refunded.
The Terms: “Crisp does not refund fees for the use of the Features or the Platform.” On a monthly plan the current month counts as paid; yearly prepayments aren't refunded.
